Annie and Georges like to peg themselves as the success story of OKCupid because they were each other's first OKCupid dates! After an amazing day walking in Central Park, seeing the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the MET and having lunch at Isabella's back in 2011 (clearly Georges planned the whole day :) ), they became inseparable. Soon enough Annie convinced Georges to cross the river to Brooklyn where the two have lived since 2013. (She's still working on convincing him to get a dog... ) After graduating law school, working at / leaving / and starting start ups, adventures in Europe and California and many dinner-and-a-movie-s, Georges decided to make things official. Over Thanksgiving weekend 2016, he invited Annie to meet up with him to see one of their favorite French movies - And they Lived Happily Ever After / Ils se Marient et Eurent Beaucoup d'Enfants - at the Metrograph. (Looking back, Annie should have suspected something was up... ) Of course Annie showed up late, grabbed her ticket, followed the signs for the movie and dashed inside - only to see an empty room. Turns out there was no movie - the signs and tickets were entirely staged - but there was a proposal (and of course Annie said yes :) ). We are thrilled to celebrate with you at our wedding and introduce many of Annie's friends and family to where Georges is from!
